A Financial Literacy workshop titled ‘Managing Money and Navigating the world of Finance’ was conducted by Dr. Neha Seth, faculty, SIBM, during Excelsior 2023, the 10 day Induction Programme for MBA 2023-25.
The objective of the Finance workshop for MBA (Sem -I) students was to provide them with a thorough understanding of the principles and processes involved in managing an organization’s financial resources. Financial analysis, financial planning, capital budgeting, and fundamental financial terms were among the subjects covered in the workshop. The instructor used a mix of games, interactive discussions, and lecture-style instruction. Students were encouraged to participate actively, which promoted a collaborative learning environment.
Examples from the real world were used to demonstrate how to use financial management concepts in practice. The workshop gave students an excellent chance to develop a thorough understanding of financial management principles. Students gained a strong basis for managing financial resources by studying a variety of financial issues. Students were able to apply their theoretical knowledge to actual situations due to the interactive nature of the workshop, which promoted engagement and active learning.
Overall, the workshop gave MBA (Sem-I) students the abilities and information they need to make sensible financial decisions in their future managerial positions.
