Objectives of the Programme

The primary objective of the Staff Development Programme titled Administrative Competency & Excellence (ACE – 2025) was to equip the administrative personnel with critical workplace competencies such as professional communication, collaborative functioning, service orientation, and foundational financial literacy; in doing so, the initiative aimed to foster a culture of proactive engagement, self-reflection, and continual improvement in administrative practices, while simultaneously reinforcing the alignment of individual performance with institutional goals and values.

Session Coverage

  • The program included the following key sessions:

    • Professional Communication & Workplace Etiquette: Icebreakers, verbal/non-verbal communication, email and document writing.

    • Teamwork, Leadership & Office Collaboration: Decision-making, professionalism, Excel for administrative tasks.

    • Service Orientation & Engagement: Extempore speaking, service handling, telephone etiquette, and presentation skills.

    • Financial Literacy & Business Awareness: Basics of salary slips, tax planning, reading business news, and speaking with clarity.

    Each session included interactive activities such as mock discussions, role-plays, hands-on exercises, and peer feedback for practical learning.

  • Improved communication and email-writing skills.

  • Greater awareness of professional conduct and workplace collaboration.

  • Enhanced decision-making abilities and service orientation.

  • Basic financial literacy and ability to engage with current business trends confidently.

  • A sense of confidence in public speaking and structured expression.
