In observance of the National Week of Action, students at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Noida, came together on August 16, 2024, to take a powerful pledge against bullying. This initiative reinforced the institute’s commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone. The event embodied SIBM Noida’s philosophy of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम—”The whole world is one family”—highlighting the importance of embracing diversity and building supportive connections across all backgrounds.
The week included interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions that encouraged students to reflect on the impact of bullying and the significance of standing against it. With a focus on breaking the silence surrounding bullying, students and faculty actively engaged in open conversations aimed at creating a campus culture founded on kindness, empathy, and mutual respect.
A key part of the week’s activities was the Pledge Against Bullying, where students committed to being allies, supporting one another, and collectively working to prevent all forms of bullying. By signing the pledge, they promised to uphold a code of compassion and responsibility within the SIBM community, ensuring that every individual feels valued, safe, and heard.
This initiative also celebrated differences, recognizing that diversity enriches our collective experience. The activities emphasized that while we may come from varied backgrounds, we share a common goal: to build an inclusive environment that respects individuality and fosters positive interactions.
