Overview
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), SIBM, Noida, organised Innovate & Elevate: National Business Plan Competition 2026 to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic thinking among students from business schools and universities across India. The competition provided a platform for participants to present innovative and scalable business ideas addressing real-world challenges.
Objectives
- Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Encourage students to develop creative and feasible business ideas.
- Provide exposure to industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and academicians.
- Promote sustainable and socially impactful business models.
- Enhance collaboration, leadership, and strategic thinking.
Participation
MBA students from various institutions across India participated in the competition. Teams of two members submitted abstracts and elevator pitch videos in the preliminary round. Shortlisted teams were invited to present their detailed business plans during the Grand Finale at SIBM, Noida.
Inaugural Session
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Vandana Ahuja, Director, SIBM, Noida, who highlighted the significance of innovation and entrepreneurship in today’s business landscape.
Distinguished speakers included:

- Mr. Maneesh Srivastava, Founder, Alphavalue Consulting Private Limited
- Mr. Saptarishi Ghosh, CEO, SCEI
A book-launching ceremony was also conducted during the inaugural session.
Business Plan Presentations
Shortlisted teams presented their startup ideas before an expert jury, covering:
- Problem identification and proposed solutions
- Market opportunity and target audience
- Competitive landscape
- Financial feasibility and revenue model
- Implementation strategy and scalability
The presentations were followed by interactive discussions and feedback from the jury.

Projects were evaluated on innovation, feasibility, market potential, financial viability, and presentation effectiveness.
Valedictory Session
The event concluded with the announcement of results and distribution of certificates. Winners and runners-up were felicitated for their outstanding performance, while all participants received certificates of participation.
