Industry Visit to Times of India Printing Press
The students of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Noida, went on an educational industry visit to the Times of India (TOI) printing press, located in the Sahibabad Industrial Area, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. This visit aimed to provide the students with practical insights into the operations of one of India’s largest and most respected newspapers. The trip was an integral part of their curriculum to enhance their understanding of the media industry and its functional dynamics.
The tour provided a detailed look at the various stages involved in the newspaper printing process. The TOI staff explained the different sections of the facility, including the pre-press, press, and post-press operations. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the knowledgeable staff members. The interactive session provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the newspaper industry.
Industry Visit to HAIER
The MBA batch of 2024-26 recently embarked on an insightful journey as part of their induction program, with a visit to Haier, a global leader in consumer electronics and home appliances. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to industry dynamics, corporate culture, and innovation-driven business strategies.
A series of interactive sessions and guided tours were organized to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of Haier’s operations. Students had the opportunity to witness the entire product lifecycle, from research and development to manufacturing and distribution. They gained insights into Haier’s agile manufacturing processes and its emphasis on customization to meet diverse customer needs. Moreover, students were enthralled by demonstrations of Haier’s latest technological innovations, ranging from smart appliances to IoT-enabled solutions. Through these demonstrations, they grasped the importance of innovation in driving competitiveness and market leadership in the rapidly evolving consumer electronics industry.
